Field Day 2017!

Monday, June 19th from 12:00 – 4:00pm, with the grade participation staggered within that timeframe to allow for kids’ participation as well as for a final hour of a final ‘team/class’ competition (the tug of war!) and final announcement of who this year’s winner is…blue…or gold!

In anticipation of Monday the 19th (NOT FAR AWAY!) and our second annual Blue vs. Gold Field Day battle for the Leopard Cup, we would love to have parent volunteers for a number of important roles and needs throughout the day. Since the teachers will be handling the rotation of the students as their primary duty, it is imperative that we have support on the playground/blacktop for both set-up (8:00a – 12:00p), as well as handling the Field Day stations (games and events themselves from 12:00 – 4:00p), and the not-so-glamorous, but oh-so-important clean-up and strike from 4:00 – 6:00pm.

We have a sign-up here: please visit and see where you are able to help, as it is appreciated by not only the LLA Booster Club and Sports Committee, but the kids themselves!

Thanks in advance for your support and ability to volunteer! Feel free to e-mail Chris Broyles at to ask any specific questions, and to find out more.

The spirit wear ordered through the school-wide sale has arrived and will be distributed to the kids in the classroom on Friday, June 9. However, don’t despair if you missed out, you can either wear your favorite blue and gold from last year, or the kids can show their Leopard pride by customizing their own t-shirts, bring bandanas, headbands, ribbons, face paint/temp tattoos etc.
