In the international best selling book "The World Is Flat", Thomas L. Friedman shows how companies and individuals now compete across increasingly irrelevant frontiers. Mastering world languages not only opens the doors to more careers but also develops open-minded individuals. Students enrolled at LaSalle participate in world language study each day from Kindergarten through 8th grade. They learn the same world language for nine years to achieve a solid proficiency.
